In the O.S.A.S Controversy, I tackle one of the greatest controversies of the twenty first century. The doctrine known as O.S.A.S was propagated by a man named John Calvin in a number of books and teachings that he produced during his lifetime. In his books he laid the foundation for the teaching called O.S.A.S, as well as what we now call “the 5 points of Calvin”. His ideas have grown tremendously in most churches across the world, and is more alive today than ever before. What is O.S.A.S? It is a doctrine that teaches that once someone has become a born-again believer in Jesus Christ they are unconditionally guaranteed to inherit eternal life when they die, NO MATTER WHAT they do? Now, I don’t believe that the Bible supports this idea, and I was led to write this book as an endearing cry to the church today to reexamine the O.S.A.S doctrine in a fresh way, to take one more serious look at the O.S.A.S idea to see if there has been something that may have been missed Biblically on this topic.
There have been many that have written books and argued for and against this doctrine, but none so far have examined and pulled apart the scriptures on this topic the way that God has shown me to do. I take many sections of scripture and pull them apart, exegetically and contextually, to simply examine what God really says about the O.S.A.S topic. It is my hope that you, my reader, will take hold of this book to read it, study it, and even put it under a microscope and seriously examine for yourself, the truth of the O.S.A.S controversy.
