Did you know that all of mankind is invited to the greatest wedding feast anyone could imagine? Everyone's invited, but few will accept the invitation. Please take a journey with me through the Scriptures to find out how you can make your R.S.V.P. today!!!
In Surah 10:94 (Allah says to Mohammed) "If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt."
Allah is sending Mohammed to the, "Book from before thee" - (the Bible) for the truth. So what does the Bible say about the truth?
The entire Bible points to one main truth, so let's examine that truth. In Isaiah 7:14 God says, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (For another example see also Isaiah 9:6)
So, who is this Immanuel? We find the answer to the prophecy 600 years later in the book of Matthew 1:23, "The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel — which means, "God with us". An angel also came to Mary's husband Joseph, telling him in Matthew 1:21, "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins".
In Surah 5:46 the Quran affirms what the Bible is saying, "And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah".
Why is the main truth of the entire Bible centered on Jesus? The following prophetic verse from Isaiah 53:4-5 explains why He (the Messiah) is the main truth.
Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by Him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
As you can see Jesus came to pay the penalty for our transgressions (sins).
Why did He have to die for our sins? The Bible tells us in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". How could one man's death atone for the sins of every person? We can find the answer in Romans 5:12, "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man (Adam), and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned." Also, in Romans 5:18 "just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men".
How does this apply to you, my Muslim friend? Because the Quran says in Surah 23:102-103, "Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy, - they will attain salvation: But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide".
So I ask you a question, can your good deeds make you righteous before a just God? The Bible has the answer for this as well in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast".
God has a plan of salvation for you. Now you can try to work your way in and hope that it's enough or simply take God's free gift of salvation, which He gave through His son, Christ Jesus. Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me".
In Matthew 22, Jesus says, "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son". The king sent servants out to invite his friends. But many rejected the invitation. So the king said, "Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find. So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests". For all were invited, but few accepted!
God is inviting you to this wedding banquet in Heaven. Will you make your R.S.V.P. with God today? If so, please cry out to Jesus in prayer. Ask for His forgiveness of your sins, repent (turn away) from your sins, make Him the Lord of your life; trust in Him for the rest of your life. As a new believer you need to read the Bible daily (and "do" what it says to do). Find a Bible teaching church and attend regularly. If you're still having doubts about the Bible, Jesus, etc.. please continue reading for further evidence.
So, you're still not convinced that the Bible is the Word of God? I hope that you will be a genuine seeker of the truth and search the Scriptures for yourself. For God says in Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". And again in Proverbs 8:17, "I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me".
Although I could go on about the thousands of manuscripts (prior to Mohammed) that validate the claim that the Bible we have today is the same as it was nearly 2,000 years ago, I would rather let the Quran speak for itself concerning the Bible.
The Quran states in Surah 6:115 concerning the Word of God "The Word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: none can change His Words: for He is the One Who heareth and knoweth all. (See also Surah 6:34, 10:64, 15:9). So clearly the Quran rightly affirms that if God is omniscient and omnipotent He should be able to prevent His Word from being corrupted.
The Quran also clearly states the Bible is the Word of God. In Surah 2:136 the Quran says "Say ye: We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: we make no difference between one and another of them: and we bow to Allah (in Islam)." (For more examples see also Surah 4:136, 5:43, 5:47-48, 5:68, 6:91, 6:154-157, 10:94, 28:48-49, 29:46, 32:23)
What does all this reveal to us? It reveals that, according to the Quran: God's Words cannot be changed, the Bible is the Word of God, and therefore, the Bible could not have been changed as so many Muslims claim.
God says in Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever". Also, Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away".
If this indisputable evidence still has not persuaded you to trust God about the reliability, authenticity, and veracity of His Word; then your heart truly has become hard towards Him.
If you still want to claim that the Bible has been altered or somehow corrupted, then you must account for the following logical inquiries:
- What evidence do you have that the Bible has been altered?
- Where are these altered manuscripts? Why have none been found?
- Who corrupted these manuscripts?
- Why would the Jews or Christians corrupt their own manuscripts?
- What benefit or profit would they gain from altering the scriptures of their forefathers?
- What parts of the Bible did the perpetrators conspire to change? Why not all of it?
- Which parts of the Bible can you trust?
- Where did the alleged conspiracy take place?
- How were they able to track down and change the many thousands of manuscripts scattered throughout the Middle East, Rome, and Asia Minor?
- How do you account for the similarities between the stories of the Bible and the Quran if it's corrupt?
As you can see, the questions become infinite when you commit to a conspiracy theory argument against the Bible's authenticity. I hope you'll take God at His Word and truly seek Him; He promises you'll find Him.
May God richly bless you!
