Overview - The Lame – Lazy Man. Acts 3:1-10
In my sermon today we discussed the meeting between Peter, John, and a lame man. The disciples are going up to the temple, the place where they had been going to church, to pray at about 3PM, and they meet this lame man, who was being lazy, as he was begging people for money.
He wanted money, and a hand out, we will call it, yet God had a different gift for him. God gave him a literal helping hand up, as Peter tells the lame man to get up, but then (by faith) takes him by the hand and pulls him up, and he was instantly healed.
Why was this lame man lying there and asking for money? Did he have a choice whether he was in that situation or not? Was the lame man expecting the healing miracle? Was he there for a miracle?
I answer all of these question, as well as explain the title in this sermon.
May God bless you as you seek Him,
